Introduction

Mille Plateaux Green Objects was born in Ōgimi Village,
a Blue Zone located in Okinawa—the only subtropical region in Japan—
and home to the World Natural Heritage site of Yambaru.

For generations, Yanbaru’s nature has lived alongside its people,
nurturing longevity, wellbeing, and a deep sense of harmony.
At POLYHEDRA.LLC, we see Yanbaru as a microcosm of Earth’s ecosystems
and have studied what “human happiness” truly means.

The answer is simple:
Living in resonance with nature is the essence of human richness.

Mille Plateaux captures the dynamic, mysterious,
and beautiful expressions of the plants nurtured here
and delivers them “exactly as they are.”

Feel the quiet presence of Earth’s nature, close to your life.

Environmental Perspective

Even in the beauty of Yanbaru, environmental challenges are emerging.
Alongside extreme weather, invasive plant species from outside regions
are beginning to disrupt the delicate native ecosystem.

The conventional solution—removing and burning these plants—
is unsustainable and reveals a deeper truth:
nature’s threats must be met with new perspectives.

What Mille Plateaux offers is this:
to reframe invasive plants not as “problems,”
but as resources with the potential for new value.

When we understand nature’s characteristics,
every element can become a resource.
This is the journey we have begun.

Philosophy of the Object

Mille Plateaux Green Objects — Preserving nature’s true form.

Our technique exists to preserve real plants
as close to their natural state as possible.
Yet in nature, there is no such thing as human-defined “perfection.”

Irregular shapes, color variations, slight distortions, small tears,
even hints of decay—
all are expressions of life,
and traces of time that cannot be replicated.

Mille Plateaux aims to preserve these natural expressions
with minimal alteration.

This is not the pursuit of artificial uniformity,
but an invitation to experience the raw presence of life itself.

Uneven, unpolished, and never identical.
We believe that within this “imperfection”
lies the deepest form of beauty.

From the forests of Yanbaru, carrying nature’s breath as it is—
Mille Plateaux Green Objects will be released in Spring 2026.
